I am a product of the Dust Bowl age, the Great Depression and World War II. I was born in Cheney Kansas July 27 1922. My Mother, Father and I moved to Wichita when I was 5 years old. I attended grade, intermediate and high school here in Wichita. (No College) only the collage of hard knocks. I started working at Beech Air Craft in September 1940, after graduating from East High School, at age 18. I went into the United States Air Force at age 22 and served 18 months before being discharged and returned to Beech at my original job. I spent the next 53 years and 11 months in various jobs and positions at Beech and retired November 1992. While at Beech Air Craft I met my first wife, had three beautiful daughters, divorced and also meet second wife Kathy. We were married on May 29, 1954. For the next 55 years Kathy and I enjoyed each other’s company, loved each other and had many memorable life experiences. Kathy went home to be with God the Father October 23, 2009. Kathy would have been 87 years young on November 6 of this year.

Recently I realized I needed a new church home. Mike and Jenny Sowersby suggested that I visit their church – Asbury Linwood Campus. I did and I found my new church home. When I was about 12 to 13 my Mother, Father and I attended the original Asbury Church located at the corner of Central and Hydraulic here in Wichita. What goes around comes around. I now am planning to become a member of Asbury Linwood Campus by attending the membership class in January.

I love the fellowship and I feel God’s presence more in Asbury than any other church that I have attended for several years. I love the relationship that I am acquiring with the church family. Since my wife passed away, they have helped me make the transition from 2 to 1 with less emotional occurrences than I would have experienced without your ministry. I love your approach to presenting God’s Word. Thank you Asbury for all of the caring and compassion!

O by the way if you don’t want to do the Math I am 87 years young and with the grace of God I hope to live to be 120.

Dedicated to my Loving Wife’s memory – Lilly Katherine Koster (Clark). Kathy was her nickname.

God loves you and so do I
