Raquel Moeder is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She earned her B.Ed. degree from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and recently quit after 11 years of teaching to fully utilize her M.S. degree in Family Therapy from Friends. She and Byron have been married over 20 years and have two boys and two girls ranging from young adult to elementary in age. The Moeders enjoy being a part of the West Campus family. Raquel is a trained ThriveSphere facilitator. ThriveSphere is a collaborative marital tool designed to help a couple enhance their relationship. Working with couples continues to be a favorite part of what she does at Asbury.
Jim earned his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Wichita State University. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Science in Family Therapy at Friends University. He has been married to his wife Kristi for 4 years. Jim works part time as a children’s pastor at another local church. Asbury Church is the place where Jim came to know the Lord and he is excited to return as an intern for the Counseling Center.
