What would it be like to be part of one of the greatest outreaches Asbury has ever done?
What would you do to personally make a difference in someone’s life?
What would it feel like to live out the Gospel of Jesus in a real and tangible way?
What would it look like to bless a complete stranger and expect nothing in return?

On December 24th, 2009, the money collected at all services was counted, then distributed on January 31st to the Asbury Congregation to then perform random acts of kindness in our community.

The month of February was “Pay It Forward” month at Asbury. The month ended with a celebration of what Asbury Church was able to do for the Kingdom through Pay it Forward at all worship services.

We have been emphasizing the “We Can” food ministry during the month of March. Asbury’s “We Can” program started from the initial Pay it Forward. One Asburian used her cash to purchase food for the food pantry after reading about the great need in our community. That small amount of Pay it Forward money started an entire ministry that blesses hundreds of families each month! Asburian’s have collected over 38,000 cans to date.

As Asbury prepares for its third session of Pay it Forward, pray for those that give, that they will give generously so that Asburians can in turn bless others. Pray for those that will take the Pay it Forward money and go out in the community and bless others. Lastly, pray for those that will receive the random act of kindness through Pay it Forward. Pray that they will see the love of Jesus in that gift and that it will stir their hearts and draw them to a personal relationship with Jesus!
