Who We Are: Linwood Campus is just South of Downtown Wichita. The church looks like an old Castle and the youth in the neighborhood all know where it’s at. Linwood has a pretty diverse group of young people. They are from all different ethnic, religious and social backgrounds and settings. This makes for a mix of youth that have learned and continue to learn, that we are all the same in Christ’s eyes. There is no rich or poor, educated or uneducated or black and white. We meet under the common purpose of reaching everyone who does not know about God’s love and the message of the Gospel. There is a lot of energy and living life together as we walk in our faith together and develop friendships together. The Youth at Linwood have chosen through their actions to support the following core values of Asbury Church

Missions: In addition to the mission field in our own neighborhood, the youth at Linwood have become friends with, and support Jayden Rathbum, who is a missionary to the people in Equador, South America.

Worship: The Youth Group has a stage, complete with everything needed for a worship band. We are always on the lookout for youth that have musical talent and a heart to worship God and lead their friends in drawing closer to the Lord.

Faith Development/Training in Truth: The Youth Leadership at Linwood is dedicated to the Bible, the word of God as the standard of truth from which all other truth in the world is measured by. We are intentional in living out discipleship before our youth and living by the same standard that we call them to. We Stand on the word of God and are bold in speaking out the truth, even if it is not sometimes the most politically correct thing to do. Kids seem to keep coming back for more, week after week. This is a testimony to the fact that God truly honors the teaching of his Word.

Hospitality and Friendship: We are purposeful in our pursuit of friendships and developing solid relationships with others. We teach and train our youth that you cannot hope to speak to someone about the deeper things in their life until you develop a relationship where they trust your and feel valued by you. To this end we train practical ways to enter into conversation with others and how to get the focus off of ourselves and onto others by taking an intentional interest in every part of their lives. A person is valued because God created them in his image.
