What is a Pop-Up?
A pop-up is a retail store (a "pop-up shop") that is opened temporarily.
The Asbury Pop-Up Store is a Pop-Up with a Purpose. Each Pop-Up will
be open for a short-time (usually only a month) and the proceeds during
that time will benefit our Missionaries. We will be highlighting the specific
Missionaries in Base Camp, the Sunday Brief and Web Site throughout the
Pop-Up to help you learn more about their mission and their specific needs.
Please keep all of the supported missionaries of Asbury Church in your prayers as they do the hands on work of the LORD near and far.

This Month’s Mission Focus: Cindi’s Hope
Support Cindi’s Hope by purchasing an item or two in the Base Camp Pop-Up with a Purpose Shop! Cindi’s Hope provides free, Christ-centered education to vulnerable children through a full board rescue center in Kenya and now 3 of 7 Primary day schools in Rwanda.
- Cindi’s Hope Academy in Kenya ministers and educates Kenyan, Ethiopian, Rwandan, S. Sudanese, and Somali children who are tremendously vulnerable, and many are abused. Beginning with 14 girls in 2006, the number of children has increased to nearly 200 in Kenya.
- Cindi’s Hope Academy in Rwanda: Opened the first Primary school to 100 students in January 2019. Currently, the few schools are beyond capacity at a 64:1 teacher, student ratio and due to the 1994 genocide, 47% of the population is under the age of 15. There are now over 400 students enrolled in 3 of 7 planned Cindi’s Hope Academy schools to be built in Rwanda over the next 5 years.
- Cindi’s Hope Mananja: A farm where chickens, rabbits, fish, vegetables are raised to assist in the provisions for the children in Kenya.
- Cindi’s Hope Mother’s and Undernourished Babies: Established in 2020, Dr. Cindi recognized the plight of young mothers whose babies were starving due to unemployment due to COVID lockdowns. Mothers and their young babies would come to the Cindi’s Hope campuses in Rwanda for 21 days to be fed, for Bible Study, and to learn basic life skills, hygiene, nutrition. We have witnessed significant growth in both the children and mothers both physically and spiritually.
- Cindi’s Hope Youth Program: During the 2020 lockdowns, kids were unable to attend school, unemployment was high, and kids were idle. Dr. Cindi recognized the issue for the youth in Rwanda. The Cindi’s Hope Youth program was established to provide youth an opportunity to work alongside our building construction to earn money, serve in their community, learn basic life skills as well as being fed physically and in Bible studies.
