“VOX” is Greek for VOICE. Our vision is to challenge and equip middle school and high school (7th-12th Grade) students to live out the gospel of Christ. Every week youth from Wichita and surrounding areas come together to passionately pursue God through worship, prayer, and His word. Our mission statement at Asbury Church is “The transformation of the whole person through the love and power of Jesus Christ.” God transforms lives! At the VOX we want to empower the youth to let their voice be heard by getting out of the church and to share their transforming story to the world.
How do we do that?
We go deep and wide…
Going “deep” is simply pursuing God. At the VOX we pursue God through worship and His word. Worship is a fervent pursuit of Jesus. We encourage you to express your heart to Him. Be passionate, be relentless, be bold!
Going “wide” is doing life together outside of the church. At the VOX we believe that we should grow together in and outside of the church. Whether that is a fun event, small groups, or serving, we are growing together.
VOX Nights - Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm
VOX offers one big rally for all middle school and high school students 7th-12th grade at Asbury Church on Wednesday evenings at 6pm. The goal for Wednesday nights is to grow both deep and wide through games, worship, and the word. The messages are uniquely focused to equip and empower students to live a life devoted to Christ. Students also get the chance to discuss what God is doing through a time of small groups. We’re excited to see you there!

Confirmation Class is a key aspect to the new vision for VOX Student Ministries. It is available to any and all students between 7th and 12th grades. The class, led by Pastor Kane McEntire, meets each school semester for 14 weeks on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30. Each student enrolled is required to attend each night, will be issued a free workbook, and is required to complete a workbook section prior to the each week's meeting. Also, each student enrolled will need a Spiritual Mentor that meets with them at least 6 times. This can be provided by the church, but ideally would be a family member or close family friend. Upon completion of the course, we will hold a Confirmation Sunday morning service where each student will be recognized. For more information or to enroll in the Confirmation Class, contact Pastor Kane (firstname.lastname@example.org or 316-942-1491).
