The Abundant Living Seminars are a series of 4 seminars held at Asbury Church In Wichita, Kansas during the summer of 2023. While this may pertain to later in life, it can apply to all ages, so we can equip couples and families to have important conversations here and now.
Wednesday, July 26th – “Important Estate Planning Considerations” with Tim O’Sullivan. Tim is an Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Washburn Law School. Tim will present information that allows people of any age to make informed decisions with the goal of preventing any legal action between family members after a loved one’s passing.
Wednesday, August 2nd – “Never Too Late or Too Early” with Annie Morris and Travis Kegley. Annie is the General Manager of a local funeral home who works with Travis to help families plan for whatever the future may hold. When a loved one does pass it is a difficult time to make any clear decisions. Family members can be easily overwhelmed. Making decisions beforehand brings clarity and peace to this difficult time in life.
Wednesday, August 9th – “Navigating the Medicare Maze and Senior Healthcare” with Josh Mehl and William Gibbs. Josh attends Asbury’s 10:30am service and often serves as a drummer on the praise team. Josh is also passionate about assisting seniors in getting the very best out of Medicare and Wichita’s healthcare community. Mr. Gibbs will be presenting the Medicare portion of the seminar. Join us to learn more about planning ahead for any health concerns aging may bring.
Wednesday, August 16th – “Not for the Faint of Heart” with Pastor Susan. In this seminar there will be information on the different levels of Senior Living, area agencies that offer support, and Pastor Susan will share some of the things she has learned over 10 years of ministry, along with caring for her Mom through the battle of chemical dementia.
