Clint McBroom was born and grew up in Wichita, KS. He was very active in Boy Scouts of America growing up going through every rank available and in May of 2002 received his Eagle Scout. After high school he joined the United States Army and served as a Military Police Officer for 3.5 years. While in the US Army Reserve he attended Mid-America Christian University where he received a Bachelors of Christian Ministries, Master of Business Administration, and a Masters of Christian Ministries. Currently, Clint is a Doctor of Ministry Student at Asbury Theological Seminary and is expecting to graduate in May 2026. Clint has also spent a few weeks studying in Israel and enjoys regular trips to Honduras for missions and leisure. He calls it his second home!
Clint is married to Rebecca and together they have four boys. Gregory is 22, Landen is 21, Braden is 18 (and an active duty member in the United States Coast Guard stationed in Galveston, TX), and Kenton is 16. Gregory has severe autism and Landen has mild autism. They also have two dogs Chapel (Brittany) and Rocky (English Bulldog), and a cat named Marley. Clint is in his 16th year of Ministry and has served at Central Community Church (Wichita, KS), First Church of God (Newton, KS) and La Junta Church of God (La Junta, CO).
Clint enjoys hunting, woodworking, and riding motorcycles. While all those hobbies keep him busy it is encouraging, helping, and serving his community. Clint enjoys being outside, grilling, and sitting around a fire in the wilderness or someone’s backyard. He also happily admits to being a Garth Brooks and Oklahoma Sooners Super Fan! If you asked him what keeps him going, he would tell you that it is seeing the transformation of someone’s life who recognizes the person God always meant them to be.

Nathan joined the Asbury Staff in 2019. He enjoys participating in the local music scene, songwriting, sports and video games. At Brewery Ministries, Nathan and his wife Nicole help facilitate discussions for those who are wrestling with questions and doubts. Nathan studied the Bible in its ancient Near-Eastern context at AWKNG School of Theology.

Bryonna has been attending Asbury since 2020 and joined staff in August 2024. She is a music teacher for special needs in Wichita Public Schools and has worked with teaching kids is a variety of areas including teaching swim lessons, teaching Wednesday night church, Sunday school, and music since 2011. She wishes to make Asbury an inclusive place for all children and youth of different backgrounds and abilities to learn to love and follow Jesus. She is married to Harrison and has two adorable little girls.

Wendy joined the staff in June 2015. She is a graduate of Heritage School of Evangelism and Communication and Friends University. She is the wife of Marc, mom to four great kids and grandma (Mudder) to eight amazing grandkids. Wendy likes all things music, photography, genealogy and travel.

Kate is leads Asbury's Congregational Care. here at Asbury Church and serves on the Leadership Team as Lead in our Hospitality/ First Impressions
Department. Kate hit the jackpot when she married Mark Green, lead guitarist of Standing in the Colour, 10 years ago. Together they raise their two kids, Wren and Rook. Kate loves Jesus, people, community, books and builds wooden robots in her spare time.

Sarah has been with Asbury since 2015. She is married to Tyler who puts up with her really loud laugh and love of flip flops. Sarah and Tyler have twin daughters to keep them humble and hopping. She loves Jesus, family and her slightly crazy golden retriever, Lincoln.

Michael has worked part-time as Asbury’s IT Specialist for the past 10+ yrs maintaining Asbury’s fleet of computers. Starting in 2017, Michael moved to full-time at Asbury as the Facilities Manager. He maintains the Building and Grounds ensuring the congregation has a safe and comfortable time at Asbury. In addition, he maintains Asbury’s vehicle fleet, and still maintains the computer and network.

Mary Jo has attended Asbury Church since 2011. In January 2016, she came on staff as the Administrative Assistant. Before that she volunteered in the office. She loves working with the staff and the outings they have once a year. Mary Jo has four grown children, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren AND two dogs, Hank and Zeke. Needless to say, there is always something going on in her household!
Position Summary
The Youth Pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader for students (grades 6–12) and their families, guiding them toward a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This leader develops relational, discipleship-driven, and team-based youth ministry that aligns with the mission and vision of the church.
The Youth Pastor is both a shepherd and strategist—cultivating meaningful relationships, equipping volunteers, and overseeing programs that form students into faithful disciples.
Spiritual & Personal Expectations
The Youth Pastor will:
· Maintain a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
· Live a life consistent with biblical teaching and Christian character.
· Demonstrate knowledge of Scripture and the ability to apply it effectively in teaching and relational settings.
· Uphold the mission, vision, and beliefs of Asbury Church.
· Model servant leadership and spiritual maturity.
· Commit to ongoing personal, spiritual, and professional growth.
Relational Leadership
The Youth Pastor will:
· Build authentic relationships with students and know them personally.
· Develop strong partnerships with parents/guardians.
· Foster intergenerational relationships within the church.
· Be present in students’ world (school events, activities, community presence).
· Maintain appropriate boundaries and uphold confidentiality.
· Serve as a safe, caring adult for youth and families.
Discipleship & Spiritual Formation
The Youth Pastor will:
· Lead students into a deep and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.
· Develop and communicate a clear discipleship pathway for middle and high school students.
· Teach biblically sound, culturally relevant lessons.
· Oversee Confirmation and other milestone faith experiences.
· Equip students to discover and use their spiritual gifts.
· Encourage participation in worship and leadership within the church.
· Provide meaningful ways to engage and support parents in the role of pastor to their children/youth.
Volunteer Recruitment & Leadership Development
The Youth Pastor will:
· Recruit, train, and support a team of adult volunteers.
· Provide regular leadership development and encouragement.
· Ensure all volunteers comply with Safe Sanctuaries and child protection policies.
· Empower both adults and students to grow in leadership capacity.
· Build a sustainable, team-based ministry structure.
Program Oversight & Event Leadership
The Youth Pastor will:
· Oversee weekly youth programming (Sunday mornings, midweek gatherings, small groups).
· Plan and execute retreats, mission trips, camps, and fellowship events.
· Create and maintain a ministry calendar planned at least six months in advance.
· Track attendance and follow up with first-time guests and absent students.
· Ensure excellence, organization, and safety in all ministry activities.
· Evaluate ministry effectiveness and adjust accordingly.
Communication & Administration
The Youth Pastor will:
· Communicate consistently and clearly with students, parents, volunteers, and staff.
· Utilize multiple communication platforms effectively (email, social media, group messaging).
· Maintain accurate records, forms, and compliance documentation.
· Develop and manage the youth ministry budget responsibly.
· Participate in staff meetings and align youth ministry with overall church vision.
Desired Outcomes
· Students demonstrate growth in faith, character, and participation in the life of the church.
· Youth ministry reflects healthy and increasing engagement.
· A strong, committed volunteer team supports the ministry.
· Families feel supported and spiritually encouraged.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree required (ministry or related field preferred); seminary education valued.
· Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in youth ministry leadership (paid or significant volunteer experience).
· Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to recruit and lead volunteers.
· Proficiency in digital communication and administrative tools.
· Passion for young people and commitment to disciple-making.
Reporting Structure
· The Youth Pastor reports directly to the Senior Pastor (or designated Executive Director) and works collaboratively with church staff and leadership teams.

Our Kitchen Cook is someone who is quick on their feet, organized, keeps stock/inventory well, and plans ahead/ has great time management skills. A food handlers’ card is required. Pay scale is $14-$16/ hour depending on experience. Must be dependable and reliable with attendance and completing tasks. Great skills with handling allergies, ordering food, and creating menus, as well.
Assistant Teacher - Must be dependable and reliable with attendance and completing tasks. CPR/1st aid is required and must have at least 6 months of experience. This person must be flexible, as their place in the building could vary at times and they must adapt to the environment well. Assistant teachers will support and help lead staff and assist children on a daily basis. Assistant teachers must be able to step up and take initiative over their daily tasks that are required of them in the classroom while also making sure that the consistency matches the lead teacher and centers expectations. Pay scale is $12.50-$14.50/ hour depending on experience.
Float Teacher - This person must be lead teacher qualified, meaning at least 6 months of experience. They must have their CPR/1st Aid and must be great with stepping in and out of rooms where needed and must be dependable/ reliable with attendance and completing tasks. They must communicate well, have great time management skills, and be flexible as their position could be different from day-to-day. Pay scale is $13.50-$15/ hour depending on experience.
