Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study
The Thursday Morning Women’s Study group meets on Thursday mornings at 9:30am in Room B111. The current study is “The Epic of Eden: Ruth Study” led by teacher, Professor Sandra Richter. For your information, this study will include 3 days of homework each week.
Purchase book from Seedbed (www.my.seedbed.com). Cost is approximately $14.95.
Summary: The book of Ruth is simply a great story. Life and loss, love and loyalty, intrigue, racism, and ridicule all find a place in this narrative. The story is a challenging account of everyday lives lived with extraordinary integrity. In Ruth and Boaz, we find two ordinary people, during the corrupt time of the Judges, who demonstrate what it means to make a difference in the ordinary circumstances of day-to-day life. This study is not written for the standard churchgoer but for that person who has always wanted to do a Bible study but didn’t know where to start. So, for you seasoned insiders, the tone of this study might seem a bit different. For you, who still consider yourselves outsiders, this one’s for you.
If you have additional questions, please contact Mary Lou Just (620-214-1609) or Sheri Smith (316-304-6555).
