Camp Asbury is back!! Camp Asbury at Asbury Church offers a chance for elementary students to have fun, learn about the Bible, and have hands-on opportunities to learn and grow while parents are at work.
Camp Asbury is for current Kindergarten-6th Graders. Camp will run from May 30th - Aug. 4th program hours will be from 8:30-3:30, with an extended care option for your convenience. Extended Care hours will be from 7:00am-5:30pm
When registering please put the names of your campers, not your name. There is a space later in the registration form for Parent/Guardian information.

As Camp Counselor -- Lead, you are responsible for supervising campers and keeping them safe. You’ll be leading Bible stories, games, crafts, field trips, and more! Our summer camp is a day camp held at Asbury Church with off-site field trips a few times a week. Camp will begin May 30th and end on August 4th, 2023. As a counselor you will be asked to work from 8am-4pm, with an opportunity to work our extended care hours.
Job Requirements:
• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Must be 16 yrs or older
• Be CPR trained (we will provide if needed)
• Be able to attend training meeting prior to the start of camp
• Be a hard worker and team player
• Love all types of kids
• Pass Background check and Safe Gatherings course
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee your group of campers with your co-counselor
• Plan the day/week responsibilities with your co-counselor (i.e. who is leading what that day)
• Lead a Bible Lesson and that days activities
• Set up any activities supplies needed for the day
• Willing and able to plan games/activities for campers
• Participate with campers during snack, free-play, organized games, and field trips
• Check-in/out all campers to their families
• Maintain good public relations with families of campers (i.e. keeping our space neat, greet every parent and
child at drop off/pick up, check identification if you aren’t familiar with the person doing pick)
• Discuss only pertinent items with parents, keeping it positive as much as possible
• Communicate daily needs with Family Pastor
• Maintain confidentiality when necessary
• Discipline when necessary
• Refer program inquiries/concerns to Family Pastor
• Be able to drive the church van on field trip days
• Be a team player with all staff
• All other duties assigned
